Metallic Epoxy Floors
Poured metallic systems that move like marble. No two floors come out the same, which is the whole point.
More on metallic epoxy floorsOxford asks for more decorative work than anywhere else we go. It is the market where metallic and stained concrete outsell plain gray flake.
Oxford is a genuinely different market for us. The University of Mississippi and the second-home ownership that comes with it mean a lot of the property here is bought and finished with an eye on how it looks, not just what it costs, and that changes what people ask for.
It is the one place we regularly get called for metallic epoxy before anybody mentions a garage. Metallic is a poured decorative floor where pigment moves through clear resin into marble-style veining, and it turns up in kitchens, baths, bars and finished basements around Oxford far more than it does elsewhere in our territory. It is also the least forgiving system we install, because everything about how it lands happens in the twenty minutes it stays workable. That is not a system to hand to whoever quoted cheapest.
Stained concrete does well here for similar reasons. Where a coating sits on top of the slab, stain reacts into it, so the floor keeps reading as concrete with soft mottled variation across it. It suits the open interiors and renovated older buildings around town, and because stain follows whatever is already in the slab we always test a section first so you can see how your specific concrete takes color.
Game weekends drive a real calendar here. Condos and second homes get worked on out of season and everybody wants it finished before the fall. If you are planning a decorative floor for an Oxford property, spring and early summer are when the schedule has room.

We diamond grind the slab to open the concrete, then cut out and fill cracks, rebuild spalls, and level low spots.
Pigmented base coat goes down, then flake or quartz broadcast to refusal. Once it sets we scrape and vacuum the surface back flat.
A clear topcoat seals everything in. Before we start you will know exactly when you can walk on it and when you can park on it.
