Concrete Sealing
Sealer for driveways, patios, walkways, and interior commercial slabs. Keeps water, salt, and oil out of the pores.
More on concrete sealingWest Point is a straight run north of Starkville and a town where more of the work is shops, barns and outbuildings than two-car garages.
West Point is close enough that we are up there regularly, and the work we get called for there looks different from what we do in a subdivision. There is a lot more shop, barn and outbuilding floor in Clay County than there is finished residential garage, and those floors get used harder.
A working shop floor has a different set of problems to solve. It sees dropped tools, dragged equipment, hydraulic fluid and diesel, and it often sits on a slab that was poured for a barn rather than a house. Sometimes the right answer is a full flake system. Sometimes it is a straightforward sealer that keeps the dust down and stops oil soaking in, at a fraction of the price. We will tell you which one your floor actually needs rather than selling up.
The outdoor culture around here shows up in the work too. Mossy Oak has been headquartered in West Point for years and the county leans hunting and land, so we get asked about skinning sheds, cleaning stations, kennel floors and camp house slabs. Those all want a surface that hoses off and does not hold smell, which points toward a sealed or fully coated floor rather than bare concrete.
Yokohama’s tire plant brought a lot of industrial employment to town, and with it the kind of shop and light-industrial floor work that comes with people who work on equipment for a living and want their own space done properly.

We do all six of our services here. These are the three that come up most often.

We diamond grind the slab to open the concrete, then cut out and fill cracks, rebuild spalls, and level low spots.
Pigmented base coat goes down, then flake or quartz broadcast to refusal. Once it sets we scrape and vacuum the surface back flat.
A clear topcoat seals everything in. Before we start you will know exactly when you can walk on it and when you can park on it.
